Today, all RAS use biofilter and biological denitrification reactors to remove ammonia and UV/Ozone systems to disinfect the water. These technologies suffer from well known drawbacks: Biological instability, low efficiency in cold water, large footprint and off-flavour.
Biofishency's game changing technology, based on patented electro-chemical process, overcomes all these drawbacks.
It is fully controlled, it requires smaller footprint, works in any temperature, has no off-flavour and combines nitrification, denitrification and disinfection into one, highly efficient process. It also cost less in CAPEX and in OPEX.
While this technology fits many aquaculture applications, Biofishency's first application is a purging systems. Purging systems are used to remove off-flavour from fish, in an expensive and inefficient process, in which fish lose weight and large amount of water is used. Biofishency's purging system is a zero-discharge system that allows regular feeding, hence creates a new, never seen before standard.
