Our life today is intense. The lifestyle of the average person has changed considerably in the past few decades: We work more, travel more, and spend more hours awake in front of screens. Unfortunately, our nutrition and health has not gone through the same fast-paced evolution and we see more and more effects of this gap. The problem with today’s lifestyle is that it does not enable many people to plan their nutrition and activity to prevent these affects. We at AlgaHealth believe that life enhancement means keeping your normal life and giving it additional value. The right solution is not to fight our way of life, but to enhance it by matching our nutrition to our lifestyle.
The world of microalgae is vast, with hundreds of species being used today for anything from medication and nutrition to natural raw materials to biofuels and thousands of species that are still waiting to be discovered. Our research and development are based on deep knowledge, technology, and methodologies. They can be easily leveraged to produce additional ingredients from the same algae strains or be used to address new markets with products from new microalgae species.
Microalgae are among the oldest creatures on the planet and have plenty of nutritional and healthy ingredients, some of which have been used for centuries if not more, but our needs and our way of consumption changed dramatically over the years, so we have to adapt the good nature gives us to our current living.
Fucoxanthin-based products are currently produced from seaweed, which is extremely inefficient, since Fucoxanthin concentration in seaweed is very low. The result is a process that is very un-sustainable in terms of energy consumption, waste creation, and environmental damage. AlgaHealth, on the other hand, is focused on producing nutritional and healthy ingredients from microalgae where concentration is 20-30 times higher and with our technology can reach 100 times higher than seaweed.
