The only way to prevent harvest loss is to monitor plants manually and apply sufficient amounts of chemicals to control their spread. We develop a sustainable computer-vision system which automatically analyzes every plant and immediately informs the farmer in case of detected issues, leading to dramatic reduction of time spent for monitoring, decrease insecticides use and shorten the food waste.

Fermata is focused on development of sustainable computer vision solutions for precise plant monitoring in greenhouses. Our solutions make it possible to use imagery data for automation of the visual monitoring process, including early disease identification, pest detection and control of plant growth. Use of Fermata technology lowers crop losses significantly and reduces pesticide and chemical usage.

Unique combination of the off-the-shelf hardware and proprietary AI makes our product highly scalable and applicable for multiple crops and growing technologies. User-friendly cloud-based application makes the process of automated plant monitoring simple and efficient.

We have successfully completed pilot projects for leafy greens, cannabis and tomatoes in various types of facilities, including indoor and vertical farms, as well as greenhouses. In the course of pilots we have shown that installation of our system decreases harvest loss due to diseases by up to 30% and reduces the amount of time spent for scouting by up to 50%. We are currently marketing our product for the farmers in Israel, Europe and the US.
